Frates Templi – Millésime 2012

Frates Templi – Millésime 2012

What is it?

This is a blend of 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. Bottled in December 2013, it only consists of wines from the 2012 harvest.

What is it like?

Bright, yellow-gold colour with glints of light yellow straw. Fine, light, persistent bubbles. The nose offers aromas of hazelnut, almond, flowers, brioche, spring honey, candied fruit, grapefruit, apple compote, butter, and mocha with light toasted notes. Direct, intense attack, with an enveloping effervescence. This is a complex, full-bodied champagne whose vinous character is underscored by a finely crafted acidity. Velvety and harmonious on the palate, extending into a long, luscious, lively finish.

What food does it go with?

Our suggestions: Capon stuffed with foie gras, cep mushroom sauce; aged cheddar; Blue lobster with lightly cooked vegetables and yuzu vinaigrette.
